Our Story
Our story began at our first job out of college. We both started working on the same team at Wells Fargo. Cameron had been there about a year before Sage joined, and what started as friendly coworkers soon grew into something more.
When Sage moved out of her parents’ house and into an apartment just five minutes from Cameron, he quickly found excuses to spend more time together. He’d often offer to drive her home from work and stop at Trader Joe’s on the way so she could grab groceries (even when he didn’t need anything himself).
Our first official date was actually a “double date” at Red Rabbit in Minneapolis in February 2020. Our two roommates, Rachel Glenna (Maid of Honor) and Joe Blake (Groomsman) tagged along and had a front row seat to what would become the start of the rest of our lives. After dinner, Sage took the receipt so she could Venmo Cameron for her portion, but of course, he never let her. A year later, Sage found that same receipt tucked away in her purse. To this day, it remains on display in our apartment as a little reminder of that very first special night out together.
In 2021, we moved to New York City. We both got new jobs and moved into a new apartment. Going from two apartments in Minnesota to a small one bedroom in NYC required some adjustments like figuring out how to share one closet and make the most with limited hanger space. Even though our space got smaller, our life together got bigger. We quickly found our favorite coffee shops and date night spots and have made lifelong friends that make this big city feel like home.
Fast forward three and a half years, we planned a trip to the 2024 Olympics in Paris and used it as the perfect excuse to visit the South of France. What Sage didn’t know was that Cameron had something even more special planned to close out the trip. While exploring the hilltop village of Èze, Cameron surprised Sage with a private, flower filled balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. With the most breathtaking view behind them, Cameron asked the easiest question Sage had ever had to answer.
York, Maine
We always dreamed of getting married under a sailcloth tent by the ocean. The moment we stepped foot at The Viewpoint, we knew it was the perfect place. The grounds are tranquil, the scenery is breathtaking, and having a lighthouse in the background makes it truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to share this beautiful spot with our family and friends and celebrate together in a place that already feels so meaningful to us.
